To call Shane McConkey one of the all-time greats in skiing almost does him a disservice. For me, he’s the sports' closest athlete to Babe Ruth. Shane is literally the man who brought fat skis down from the heavens (Tahoe) and taught the masses to ski pow.

Big Tupper has been through a lot. The 2009-2010 season saw its first opening day of the 21st century. There’s a ten year gap between Big Tupper veterans and those who never skied there before it closed.
